A very special recipe book, commissioned as a wedding gift. The recipes were supplied by the colleagues of the bride, and are all tried-and-tested family favourites. I was giving complete freedom in the design, and as the bride is a lover of fairy tales I decided to produce it in the style of an old-fashioned story book. Each recipe begins with an illustrated capital letter, and the text is handwritten throughout in an evocative style of script. The book features three original illustrations of ingredients.

A birthday commission.

Commissioned as a birthday present for a film buff. Features the recipient's favourite film still from a Jim Jarmusch film.

A customer commissioned this small book as a belated wedding present. The birds were originally featured on the wedding invites.

Don't they look fab? Five notebooks, each featuring a classic Hollywood shot.

My studio is shared by a number of other people, including a freelance fashion designer. She was preparing a proposal for a company and asked me to bind her work before she presented it to them. The colours for the cover (acid and fire) were taken from the palette she'd used.

A very special Hogwarts letter, commissioned by a man who's taking his girlfriend to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando next spring.

A recent commission undertaken for a customer on Etsy. This is a coptic bound hardcover notebook, A5, with 24 pages (48 sides) of 220gsm cartridge paper. The image on the cover was provided by the customer, and has been printed on 120gsm fine paper, and then mounted in photocorners. The thread for the binding is red to match the corners.

A colleague commissioned a trinket box as a gift for her friend's 40th birthday. The friend in question is crazy about Mills & Boon (apparently it's her guilty pleasure), so I created a trinket box that looks like a Mills & Boon novel. The synopsis on the back of the 'book' features the name of the birthday girl as the heroine of the piece, and her husband as the romantic interest.

My colleague bought some jewellery to place in the box, and presented it to her at the birthday party. Apparently she almost peed her pants laughing! Job well done I think!
